4.11. Kartoffelafgiftsfonden
4.11. Potato tax fundPotato tax Fund has used 7.2 million in 2014. DKK, see. the annex. The majority of the Fund's resources are allocated under objectives research and experimentation as well as product development, where aid has been granted for a total of 6.7 million. DKK part of the funds are used by Knowledge Centre for agriculture for the collection, development and dissemination of specialized knowledge in relation to the development and optimization of potato production in Denmark. In 2014, there has been particular focus on the dissemination of knowledge regarding potato cyst nematodes and potato wart disease.Another project has received support for the development of a method to master specific fertilising by means of measurement of nitrate in leaf stalks. It is expected that the method will find practical application with growers and advisers, and that method will help to optimize the strategy, especially in starch breeding. fertiliser application; Field observations show that a focus on the needs of the field after fertilization can reduce nitrogen consumption by 10-20 per cent in the mark as over fertilizing the fields, and that one can raise yields 5-10 per cent in the fields under fertilizing the fields. The method is considered, however, at present only as available at an early stage in the growing season.Under the aim promotion is applied to 0.2 million. DKK a project that has received support, aimed to raise consumer awareness of potato diversity. By an increased consumer awareness of the potato's different cooking properties is the expectation that the consumers ' experience of the potato as a food quality increased. In this way the consumption of potatoes is expected to rise. The organization Danish Potatoes has, among other things, through their magazine played a positive role in the dissemination of the potato as a diverse food.Within the objectives disease control, disease prevention and control, as well as animal welfare is given in support of 0.2 million. DKK purpose with one of the including funded projects has been to ensure the potato industry the best possible starting point for a high yield and good quality of præbasis seed potatoes for use in the further breeding of Danish seed potatoes. The project has focused on the development of a sustainable Danish collection of potatoes with a view to ensuring access to pathogen-free and varietal mini-tubers.

4.11. Potato Levy Fund
Potato Foundation has in 2014 used 7.2 million. kr., see. Annex.
The majority of the Fund are distributed among the purposes of research and testing and product development, which in total is granted for 6.7 million. kr. A portion of the funds used by the Knowledge Centre for Agriculture for the collection, development and dissemination of specialized knowledge related to the development and optimization of potato production in Denmark. In 2014, there has been particular focus on the dissemination of knowledge concerning the cyst and potato wart.
Another project has received support for the development of a methodology for on-demand fertilization using measurement of nitrate in petioles. It is expected that the method will find practical use by growers and advisers and that the method will help to optimize fertilization strategy in particular starch breeding. Mark Observations show that focusing on the needs of the field after fertilization can reduce nitrogen consumption by 10-20 per cent. in the fields as exposed to excessive fertilization and that can raise the yield 5-10 per cent. in fields that undergødskes. The method is, however, currently only as useful early in the growing season.
During purpose promotion, there is used 0.2 million. kr. A project which has received aid has aimed to raise consumer awareness of potato diversity. By increasing consumer awareness of the potato different cooking properties is expected that consumers' experience of the potato as a quality food increases. In this way the expected consumption of potatoes to increase. The organization Danish Potatoes, among other things through their magazine played a positive role in the dissemination of the potato as a diverse food.
Within the objectives of disease prevention and disease control, inspection and animal welfare support has been given to 0.2 million. kr. The purpose of one of the below supported projects has been to ensure the potato industry the best possible basis for a high yield and good quality of præbasislæggekartofler for use in the further multiplication of Danish seed potatoes. The project has focused on developing a sustainable Danish collection of potatoes in order to ensure access to pathogens and black genuine mini tubers.
